Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. Intelligent is having or showing intelligence, especially of a high level. All women are intelligent in their own defined ways. my Black is Intelligence (mBi²) is an elite online membership community of intelligent black women with a purpose. We seek to acquire knowledge, empower, collaborate, support, work together, leverage knowledge and resources from one another, hold each other accountable, all while having fun with live in-person outings. Essentially, mBi² is an accountability group meets social club.
What sets mBi² apart is our women not only focus on empowering each other, but we reach back and bring our children and children from disadvantaged communities along. Therefore, in order to be a member of this community, women must commit to mentor a youth from a disadvantaged community. We as black women know that our children are the future and it is our duty to reach back and build up the next generation.
Because you want to invest in yourself. You want to continue to acquire and apply knowledge. You want more for yourself and need that push and accountability to be the best You. You want to surround yourself with like-minded black women who want the best for you. In addition, you care about our children’s future and have a passion for giving back through mentorship. Lastly, you want a sister circle to hang out with and have fun.
Shanee is a Chicago native who was born and raised in a disadvantaged community. Despite the lack of resources available to her throughout her childhood, she was determined not to become a product of her environment and went on to graduate as Valedictorian in High School. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master's degree in Human Resources Management from Roosevelt University. She currently works in Human Resources. She loves spending time with her daughter, family and friends, traveling, politics, and watching football. Among her friends, she has always been the one to hold them accountable, support them in their ventures and motivate them to keep striving for greatness. She has always been passionate about education and giving back to the youth who lives in disadvantaged communities.
